For I know the plans I am planning for you, declares יהוה, plans of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and an expectancy. Jeremiah 29:11 TS2009

Statement of Faith

PeaceThe early congregation set the standards for Elohim's Assembly. However, we are seeing so many groups falling away from this in our present day and we believe it's not only important to set standards based on the early congregation but necessary as well if we are to truly and effectively spread the gospel of Yeshua. Messiah never came to plant visible churches as men do in our day. He came to build an invisble body of sold out people known as Ekklesia. A set apart body jointly fit.

Messiah never told us to become masters over the Assembly. The practice was condemned in scripture when Diotrephes took the preeminence. Yet Pastors and Rabbi's in the false assemblies elevate themselves above others even though Messiah told us not to. Only Messiah has the preeminence. The present day churches and synagogues that hold a 501C3 status with the government and are incorporated are nothing but a religious business and in that alone have denied Messiah by their works through they claim to love and serve him. Many claim they are serving in their leadership positions. I even saw one man call himself Head Servant. It is one of the greatest deceptions in our world today.

8 But you, do not be called Rabbi, for One is your Teacher, the Messiah, and you are all brothers.
9 And do not call anyone on earth your father, for One is your Father, He who is in the heavens.
10 Neither be called leaders, for One is your Leader, the Messiah.
11 But the greatest among you shall be your servant.
12 And whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.
Matthew 23:8-12 TS2009

The following statement is not intended in any way to be exhaustive, but serves as an outline of what the Bible presents as some of the standards for living as derived from scripture.

  1. Our Duties

It is not our job to increase the size of the Assembly. We are mislead if we think we should. It has always been Elohim's job to give the increase. Our job is to be busy feeding the sheep.

I have planted, Apollos watered; but Elohim gave the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6 TS2009

15 After breakfast, Yeshua said to Shim'on Kefa, "Shim'on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me more than these?" He replied, "Yes, Lord, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
16 A second time he said to him, "Shim'on Bar-Yochanan, do you love me?" He replied, "Yes, Lord, you know I'm your friend." He said to him, "Shepherd my sheep."
17 The third time he said to him, "Shim'on Bar-Yochanan, are you my friend?" Shim'on was hurt that he questioned him a third time: "Are you my friend?" So he replied, "Lord, you know everything! You know I'm your friend!" Yeshua said to him, "Feed my sheep!
    John 21:15-17 CJB

The ministry was never intended to be a career move. We are not to earn money from the ministry, otherwise it becomes a business.
If there are expenses involved then people can donate. But none of the money should be going into anyones pocket.

For we are not like a lot of folks who go about huckstering God's message for a fee; on the contrary, we speak out of a sincere heart, as people sent by God, standing in God's presence, living in union with the Messiah. 2 Corinthians 2:17 CJB

  2. Whom We Serve

We believe in lifting up the name of Yeshua since he is the only way to the Father and is the head of the body. We do not lift up the name of a denomination or protecting any name in particular under any legal means in this world. We do not support conference presidents in the incorporated churches or such titles as "Executive Director" since the thinking that is behind these is very carnal and arrogant. These are goats and many times scatter the sheep. Wolves in sheeps clothing.

The "Church" is a physical building. The body of Messiah is not a physical building but rather a set apart body of followers of Yeshua HaMashiach. The true Assembly (Ekklesia) does not own buildings and land in this world.
We believe in lifting up the name of Yeshua the Son of Elohim who is our Messiah and redeemer. The early church simply called themself the Church of Elohim and did not establish any worldly corporation, organization or central office. The church is spiritual in nature and lead solely by the Holy Spirit. The establishment of believers is by the Holy Spirit which comprises the body of Christ and is recorded in the Lamb's book of life. The early church did not own real property (or real estate) and met where ever they were able whether it be in homes or by the bank of a river as they did when Christ was baptised.

We do not believe in incorporating the Assembly, to do so means we serve the government instead of Messiah and the government has become our head.
When a body becomes a business, what do you call that? Most call it prostitution. So I have a question for you. Is your church incorporated?

"9 For in him, bodily, lives the fullness of all that God is.
10 And it is in union with him that you have been made full -- he is the head of every rule and authority.
11 Also it was in union with him that you were circumcised with a circumcision not done by human hands, but accomplished by stripping away the old nature's control over the body. In this circumcision done by the Messiah,
12 you were buried along with him by being immersed; and in union with him, you were also raised up along with him by God's faithfulness that worked when he raised Yeshua from the dead.
13 You were dead because of your sins, that is, because of your "foreskin," your old nature. But God made you alive along with the Messiah by forgiving you all your sins.
14 He wiped away the bill of charges against us. Because of the regulations, it stood as a testimony against us; but he removed it by nailing it to the execution-stake.
15 Stripping the rulers and authorities of their power, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by means of the stake.
    (Colossians 2:9-15) CJB

"And I heard another voice from the heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues"
    (Revelation 18:4) TS2009

  3. The Deity

    The Shema, "Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one" (Deut. 6:4), teaches that God (Elohim) is Echad, as so declared: a united one, a composite unity, eternally existent in plural oneness [Gen. 1:1 (Elohim: God); Gen. 1:26 "Let us make man in our image";

We believe in one Elohim infinite and perfect, the creator and sustainer of the universe who exists eternally in the Father and Son. As begotten, not created, Yeshua shares the nature, names, and attributes of Elohim the Father. As Son, not Father, Yeshua is subordinate to the Father. From eternity, the Son was with the Father, shared the Father's glory as the pre-incarnate Word. We believe the Holy Spirit is the promised comforter who gives spiritual birth to believers, lives within them, and empowers them for witnessing and service. We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin and instructs in righteousness.

  4. The Holy Bible

The Old and New Testaments of the Bible as we currently have is a translation from the original manuscripts. These manuscripts are the only authoritative and infallible writings of faith and conduct for man kind.

  5. Salvation Salvation is by grace through faith and is not out of works lest any man should boast. Yet faith without works is dead so works must accompany faith for faith to be genuine. Salvation is only through true repentance and the death of Christ at Calvary. Those who repent of their sin, lay down their life, believe on Yeshua will be saved and not face the final judgment but will be passed from death unto life.

Truly, truly, I say to you, He that hears my word, and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death to life. John 5:24

Yeshua layed down his life in obedience to the Father, was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights and rose the end of the Sabbath according to scripture to pay for the sin of the world. It was in the end of the Sabbath when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulcher, Messiah was already risen.

After Shabbat, as the next day was dawning, Miryam of Magdala and the other Miryam went to see the grave. Matthew 28:1 CJB

  6. Obedience

Only through loving Elohim first and others as ourself can we walk in true obedience toward Elohim. No where in scripture were the 10 commandments done away with. The death of Messiah on the tree fulfilled the sacrificial laws. Teachings that any law was ever done away with are not true.

Don't think that I have come to abolish the Torah or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to complete. Matthew 5:17 CJB

He wiped away the bill of charges against us. Because of the regulations, it stood as a testimony against us; but he removed it by nailing it to the execution-stake. Colossians 2:4 CJB

3 The way we can be sure we know him is if we are obeying his commands.
4 Anyone who says, "I know him," but isn't obeying his commands is a liar -- the truth is not in him.
5 But if someone keeps doing what he says, then truly love for God has been brought to its goal in him. This is how we are sure that we are united with him.

    1 John 2:3-5 CJB

  7. Sabbath

The Sabbath was never done away with by Elohim. No where in scripture has it ever been changed to any other day and still is to be kept on the seventh day of the week just as it was in the time of Christ. The first day of the week comes immediately after the Sabbath as the book of Matthew shows us.

After Shabbat, as the next day was dawning, Miryam of Magdala and the other Miryam went to see the grave. Matthew 28:1 CJB

  8. Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage

Marriage is between one Man and one Woman. Elohim created Adam and gave him one wife.
We stand opposed to divorce and remarriage for any cause other than death of a spouse, a spouse committing adultery, or when your spouse abandons you.

Only those who are divorced biblically can remarry. Remarriage for a follower of Messiah should only be with another follower of Messiah of the opposite gender who can also marry or remarry biblically. Being unequally yoked is forbidden in scripture.

15 But if the unbelieving spouse separates himself, let him be separated. In circumstances like these, the brother or sister is not enslaved God has called you to a life of peace.
16 For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

    1 Corinthians 7:15,16 CJB

Now what I say to you is that whoever divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery! Matthew 19:9 CJB
