True Humility

*Note: All scripture passages from The Scriptures 1998+ unless otherwise noted.

True humility was revealed in Yeshua the Messiah’s example to us. We see that he submitted himself to the rulers in this world without question. He did not sit around and nit pick about what they were doing wrong. Messiah, very King of the Universe knew this kind of submission and humility and he did not rise up against those who had the rule in this world.

Yet there are so many people who are still arrogant and point the finger, accuse falsely and question authority, even run them down. These people are not doing the will of Elohim, quite the contrary, they are of their father the devil. When the woman questions the man, resists his instruction and does not submit, she is in opposition to the will of our Father in Heaven. Just as when the man does the same to those in authority over him he also is in opposition to the will of our Father in Heaven. They do not hear the Father because they do not know him.

It is the Father’s will for all of us to submit to those who have the rule over us. When we resist that we oppose Elohim and his ways. It’s very simple, those who love more are closer to the Father. Since Elohim is love, when we have the Ruach we would take on the nature of the Ruach. But those with a critical spirit do not have the divine nature. These people will see evil and be busy pointing the finger.

Obey those leading you, and be subject to them, for they watch for your lives, as having to give account. Let them do so with joy and not groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.
Hebrews 13:17

The woman or man who thinks it is their job to correct those over them is deceived. You gain no advantage by trying to correct and dominate those who are over you. You also hinder the work of Elohim in that person by trying to control them according to your own thinking. Remember, they are in the position they are in because Elohim put them there and they are ordained of him to be over you. When you resist that authority you also resist Elohim and the truth.

Be subject to every institution of man because of the Master, whether to the sovereign as supreme, or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of doers of evil, and a praise for those who do good. Because such is the desire of Elohim, that by doing good you should put to silence the ignorance of foolish men, as free, yet not using your freedom as a cloak for evil, but as servants of Elohim. Respect all, love the brotherhood, fear Elohim, respect the sovereign. Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the crooked ones. For this is favour, if because of conscience toward Elohim anyone bears up under grief, suffering unrighteously. For what credit is there in enduring a beating when you sin? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure, this finds favour with Elohim. For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps, who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth,who, being reviled, did not revile in return; suffering, did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;
1 Peter 2:13-23

For rebellion is as the sin of divination, and stubbornness is as wickedness and idolatry….
1 Samuel 15:23

There is no rebellion in humility. Rebellion is found in the sin of pride and is self centered. There is no love outside of humility either, because love does not seek it’s own. Only in true humility can we truly obey the Father and serve him as Messiah showed us.

What would that look like if Messiah pointed the finger at those in authority in this life and told them they were only doing what they did because they were power hungry, or to protect themselves, etc. What would it mean if Messiah reviled them and resisted their authority? It would mean that Messiah would have fallen because he would have sinned. But he submitted himself to the Father who judges righteously.

For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps, who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth, who, being reviled, did not revile in return; suffering, did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously;
1 Peter 2:21-23

Search your own heart. Do you resist those in authority because you see things differently? Remember, it’s not your job to point the finger and many times you will only be casting false accusation and in that serving Ha Satan. This is one of the greatest deceptions of our day as it has been throughout the time of man on this earth. But it is increasing and so many who don’t want to be judged falsely continue to still judge others falsely. This is where the Bible tells us not to judge. It teaches us how to judge and pertains to things in their proper order and things we have the power to judge. But we do not have the authority to judge those who are over us.

Would you like it if someone was constantly pointing the finger at you and picking on things they would do differently? Would it not wear on you if someone in your life continued to criticize you and point out things they thought are flaws? And the surprising thing is that those people do such things are those who have the beam in their eye. They are busy trying to remove a speck from the other persons eye, never realizing they have a serious problem and lack humility. Jude also told us they are not filled with the Holy Spirit. For those who are filled with the Spirit (Ruach) would take on the nature of the Ruach also.

But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of Elohim dwells in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Messiah, this one is not His. And if Messiah is in you, the body is truly dead on account of sin, but the Spirit is life on account of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised יהושע from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Messiah from the dead shall also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you. So then, brothers, we are not debtors to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you shall live.
Romans 8:9-13

Those who are still busy nit picking and pointing the finger have a critical spirit and Jude tells us these people are not filled with the Ruach. And it’s obvious they aren’t since they are doing the works of Ha Satan which is to accuse and tear down. They do not have the Father’s love, they still walk in fear and have not forgiven, holding bitterness in their heart. They hold onto the past and cannot let go of past hurts and pain, this is unforgiveness.

In the same way, indeed, these dreamers defile the flesh, and reject authority, and speak evil of esteemed ones. But Miḵa’ĕl the chief messenger, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Mosheh, presumed not to bring against him a blasphemous accusation, but said, “יהוה rebuke you!” But these blaspheme that which they do not know. And that which they know naturally, like unreasoning beasts, in these they corrupt themselves. Woe to them! Because they have gone in the way of Qayin, and gave themselves to the delusion of Bilʽam for a reward, and perished in the rebellion of Qoraḥ. These are rocky reefs in your love feasts, feasting with you, feeding themselves without fear, waterless clouds borne about by the winds, late autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, pulled up by the roots, wild waves of the sea foaming up their own shame, straying stars for whom blackness of darkness is kept forever. And Ḥanoḵ, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied of these, saying, “See, יהוה comes with His myriads of set-apart ones, to execute judgment on all, to punish all who are wicked among them concerning all their wicked works which they have committed in a wicked way, and concerning all the harsh words which wicked sinners have spoken against Him.” These are grumblers, complainers, who walk according to their own lusts, and their mouth speaks proudly, admiring faces of others for the sake of gain. But you, beloved ones, remember the words spoken before by the emissaries of our Master יהושע Messiah, because they told you that there would be mockers in the last time who would walk according to their own wicked lusts. These are the ones who cause divisions, not having the Spirit.
Jude 1:8-13

Jude as well as other authors of the Scriptures show us clearly that those who nit pick and criticize those over them only cause division and they do not have the Ruach. However, if you are one who has a critical spirit you can repent of that and change your attitude and come to Messiah. This is vital to your salvation because unless you have the Spirit, you are not born again and will not enter into life. You cannot walk in Holiness without having the Ruach.

I urge you to repent at this moment and begin to love others rather than tearing them down because of your own thinking. Embrace the will of the Father who judges righteously and realize it is not your place to point the finger at others when you think they are doing things wrong. Let those who have the authority to it, it’s simply not your job to accuse the brethren. Ha Satan is busy doing those things and if you wish to do that also then you are serving him.
