I Do Not Come With Flowery Speech

*NOTE* Scripture passages are taken from The Scriptures 1998+ unless otherwise noted.

I’m neither here to tickle your ears or entertain the goats. Yet I do wish to have love toward all men as Messiah did. Love delivers people from sin, it does not enable them to walk in it.

And my word and my preaching were not with persuasive words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, in order that your belief should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of Elohim. Yet we speak wisdom among those who are perfect, and not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age that are being brought to naught. But we speak the wisdom of Elohim, which was hidden in a secret, and which Elohim ordained before the ages for our esteem, which no one of the rulers of this age knew, for if they had known, they would not have impaled the Master of esteem. 1 Corinthians 2:4-8

This writer will not be responsible for your short comings that cause others to hold back the truth in love. I have broken away from more than one such person who tried to do that to me. And yet, at the risk of not appearing “nice,” I will love you enough to bring you things that whatever is holding you back will break every yoke you are under if you have ears to hear. This is what Messiah did for you and I, and as his servant I intend to do that very work here.

Are you troubled with life? Are you troubled with what other people do? We all are, the key is how we handle it and react to it. If you have fears and damaged emotions that are holding you back from hearing the Lord through other people, then you need to take time away and work on yourself. I had to at one point, it took quite a long time, months and months, it was not something that occurred over a few short days. And even after I got the basics figured out, my own growth continued for years and still does until now. It will not end all the time I am in this flesh.

When Kefa (Peter) rebuked Messiah, Messiah called him Ha Satan (The Adversary) and told him he does not savor the things of Elohim. It could sound like Yeshua’s words were harsh, and they may have been, but with the sword of his tongue as it was prophesied he upheld the Father’s will.

And Kĕpha took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “Be kind to Yourself, Master, this shall not be to You!” But He turned and said to Kĕpha, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to Me, for your thoughts are not those of Elohim, but those of men.” Mat 16:22,23

People in our day just want things nice, want them their way. Our society has a way of numbing us and watering down the truth. Just as a woman when exhorted by the man retaliates and rebukes him, she savors not the things of Elohim. For one thing, we are not to be rebuking those who have the rule over us to begin with.

The thinking in this word is much the same, “Be nice to yourself.” We allow a little leaven, and suddenly the whole lump is infected. Let’s be careful we don’t follow after the same example of disobedience and unbelief.

Too many times we hear the wisdom of this world and because it sounds good to our hears we take it as truth. But it’s not the way of Elohim. I’ve heard the wisdom of this world that says we need to rise up more because if we are too nice people will trample all over us. But that’s not the wisdom from above. People trampled all over Yeshua and he never once rose up and reviled in return.

The truth is, when you have truly come to know Messiah, you will come to realize true humility and not defend yourself. People will trample all over you. But through his Spirit we are strong enough that we are not effected by those who attack us, instead we will love them.

Remember, we are known by our works. And that is not based on mans psychology, it is based on Elohim’s standard, Yeshua the Messiah. He set the perfect example. If you can’t endure a rebuke handed to you by someone who is in the position to do that, how do you expect you will endure when hard times come? How are you going to even endure the great tribulation when you haven’t even come to be obedient to those who have the rule over you?

The world does not understand that kind of love. And I have been hard pressed to find people even among those who claim to be Messianic, Hebrew Roots, etc. and claim to be set apart who actually have the Father’s love.

Respect all, love the brotherhood, fear Elohim, respect the sovereign. Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the crooked ones. For this is favour, if because of conscience toward Elohim anyone bears up under grief, suffering unrighteously. For what credit is there in enduring a beating when you sin? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure, this finds favour with Elohim. For to this you were called, because Messiah also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps, who committed no sin,1 nor was deceit found in His mouth, who, being reviled, did not revile in return; suffering, did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His body on the timber, so that we, having died to sins, might live unto righteousness1 – by whose stripes you were healed.
1 Peter 2:17-24

If a man who is blind and deaf was walking toward a cliff about to fall off to his death, would you sit back hoping he would turn around or would you run after him and tackle him to the ground to save his life? Some might say you were too rough on the man, that you bruised him and hurt him. Those with the critical spirit would attack you for being so rough. But the truth of the matter is that you were the only one who loved enough to save his life. While everyone else were observing from a distance in their complacency praying and hoping the Lord would turn him around. Do you see how obsurd the thinking of the world is?

We sometimes hear the phrase, “What would Jesus do?” When someone asked me that I told them flat out that they might be surprised and that using a whip to drive people out of the temple was a reality. The comment itself is based on a distorted and unrealistic view of what love is. Yeshua is not a whimp, he is not a mushy kind of person and he was not defending himself, he was in fact defending the Father.

I’ve had people judge me when I defended the Father’s word and they themselves didn’t understand a lot of it. They thought I was acting in my own defense, but I could not possibly because what they did was not about me, but about their disobedience to the Father. Spiritual depravity runs rampant in this present word and so many do not spend time in the Bible to search these things out. Many only seek what looks good to them and what sounds good to them, even some who think they are set apart.

One of the clear signs that we do not savor the things of Elohim is when we don’t even understand submission. This is all in his design of things and part of being able to enter the Kingdom of Elohim.

Knowing what love is takes a spiritual mindset and being born not only of water but of the Spirit as well. A true renewal if the inward man, not just going through the actions outwardly so it only appears we are holy.

The person who told me they have the ability to feel people’s thoughts was so deceived it was scary. It shows they aren’t even born again. It was pure arrogance coming from them and obvious the do not have the mind of the Spirit. They had the mindset of this world is all they had. They had many times accused me falsely, and yet were convinced in their mind they were right. That is clearly Ha Satan.

For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man that is in him? So also, the thoughts of Elohim no one has known, except the Spirit of Elohim. And we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from Elohim, in order to know what Elohim has favourably given us, which we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Set-apart Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual matters with spiritual matters. But the natural man does not receive the matters of the Spirit of Elohim, for they are foolishness to him, and he is unable to know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual discerns indeed all matters, but he himself is discerned by no one. For “Who has known the mind of יהוה? Who shall instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Messiah.
