Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
1 Corinthians 13:4,5
Have you been bothered or slightly angered by little things? Things people did that you think they should not have done? Keep reading.
When we observe the life and example of Messiah, we see he has great patience. When he was being lead to be hung on the cross he was lead as a lamb to the slaughter and did not open his mouth. He was falsely accused and yet took it well. Some of us can hardly endure anything that rubs us the wrong way and yet we think we are in the Lord.
Were you offended over a minor thing? Consider what the Bible says on these issues and that the people of Elohim have great patience. If it rubs you the wrong way because of some little thing someone did, you might need to rethink where you stand before Messiah. True saints are very gracious toward other people and don’t get irritated. They are not just patient, they are HIGHLY patient. There is a stark difference between someone who thinks they are born again and someone who actually is. People literally beat Messiah to death and he did not get upset or offended. Nor did he hate those people in anyway. Could you just see it now? When he was getting whipped even though he was innocent of any wrong doing, turning and asking the person, “Can you ask me before you whip me again? I can only endure so much?” And yet, someone sends us one too many emails or something of that nature and we get our feathers ruffled all to easy. We make an issue out of it and ask, can you ask me before you send me an email? How ridiculous is that? Or, can you send an email before you call me on the phone? That’s even more ridiculous. I mean, if you actually think you are born again.
There are those who throw so much garbage at other people and yet write people off over a minor incident. These people are not only proud but very deceived. These are the same people Messiah told that they strain at a gnat and swallow a camel. He told them to get the beam out of their own eye first so they can remove the speck from the other person’s eye. How true this is, the people who rise up so quickly to correct others usually have the bigger problem and are too blind to realize it because they are filled with pride. Pride blinds so many people and they attack the humblest of people. The people many times who think they know so much about scripture and Torah know nothing because they haven’t even found humility yet. They correct others constantly who are actually over them. Pride makes them want to have superiority. This many times also comes out of a critical spirit. They are quick to accuse others and in most cases they cast false accusations at people who are more righteous than they are. They cannot even see their own flaws and are so deceived that they wallow in the muck and mire all along thinking they are holy. I have news for those people.
If you can’t endure being added to another group on Facebook, being invited to another site, being sent another email, you really need to rethink where you are in your life. You need to fall on your knees before Elohim and seek him because your life is not even close to what Messiah showed it should be. You’ll never be able to endure any real persecution or hardship.
I’m a nobody, and I try and keep that perspective. I’ve had people run all over me, haul me into court for things I never did. And I mean very serious things. If we are in Messiah this will happen.
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
1 Corinthians 13
1 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,b but do not have love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. 23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
